RECOMMENDED FIN

In the 2+1 setup, the 2+1 7" Longboard Fin set includes the center fin and the two side fins. To make the center fin smaller and looser for transitions, swap it for the 8" Middy Center Fin.

ABOUT THE MODEL

The Sea Devil came after the Magic, and it is feistier than its predecessor. It was updated in 2010 and passed through the hands of Ben Skinner, Aurelien Menieux, Carlos Bahia, James Perry, and Damien Castera, each fine-tuning a detail until it was perfected. It features a round pin tail, shortboard-style bottom, and a concave in the nose that transitions into a double concave at the center of gravity. It is the fastest and most progressive longboard that comes out of here.

This unit is a 9'1" with 64.03 liters.

And it is made of EPS, which changes the way it rides. EPS is lighter and floats more per liter, so this board weighs in at 7 kg and paddles as if it were a few inches longer. It helps on small wave days and for those still building up their paddle strength. Running through the inside is a wooden stringer, which is what restores rigidity to a lighter blank. In exchange for the weight, you lose a bit of flex, and it chatters more when the water is choppy.
