A mid-length is the middle ground: it paddles like a longboard and turns like a shortboard. If you want to catch plenty of waves without carrying a 9-footer, this is the size range for you.

Mini Disk, Round Twin, Super Glider, Old School, Mini Magic, and TWing. Each one handles the same dimensions in a different way, and all of them are hand-shaped by Lufi Bento.

What is a mid-length surfboard?

It's the board between the shortboard and the longboard: under nine feet, but with enough length and volume for easy paddling. At Lufi, they range from 6'6" to 7'0" and from 41 to 51 liters.

Mid-length or longboard, which one to choose?

If you want to catch more waves and walk the board, longboard. If you want to maneuver more and don't mind paddling a bit more, mid-length. The question that decides it isn't your level: it's how many waves you've been catching per session.

How much does a mid length cost?

At Lufi, from R$ 3,599 to R$ 4,599. It comes out cheaper than a longboard because it uses less material, and the shaping time is the same.

Is a mid-length board good for beginners?

It works, provided the volume matches your weight. It paddles with more effort than a longboard and less than a shortboard, so it works well for those who already catch waves and want to maneuver, and for those coming from a shortboard who are tired of missing waves.
